PUBLIC ARTWORK: CARNIVAL TENHULT/ÖDESTUGU
In June 2019, the municipality of Jönköping commissioned Disoder to implement a process-based and
site-specific public artwork in collaboration with five preschools in Tenhult and Ödestugu.
As part of the process a temporary scenography was built in the two communities where a carnival was held in December 2019. The scenography was based on the children’s drawings of their homes.
The process resulted in, among other things, a collage of scenography mounted on the wall in the dining room at the preschool in Ödestugu and a mobile scenography available at each preschool as a trace of the carnival. The scenography is part of the preschools’ pedagogical work and offers continued play opportunities for the children.
